Holy Trinity Church Chantry, near Frome, is holding a History weekend on 23rd to 25th March 2007, with an exhibition in the church of memorabilia and artefacts of the parish.

There will be a talk on the village, church and the Fussells by Drs Robin Thorne and David Rawlins, in the church on Friday 23rd March at 7.0Opm. After the talk refreshments will be provided.

We would be very grateful for the loan of any memorabilia. The church is a perfect specimen of one of (Sir) Gilbert Scott's earliest churches and has remained almost unaltered. One of the windows depicts a rare Lily Crucifix, and the misericords in the choir stalls are very finely carved. It is a grade 1 listed building, and is worth seeing in its own right. All will be welcome. Contacts Hazel Tovey 01373 836384, Dolly Blacker 01373 836668, Valerie Rawlins 01373 836252.
